'The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin' on Yahoo, Documentary

Like it or not, paper money is quickly becoming obsolete. Bitcoin burst onto the scene eight years ago, and though it has not replaced paper money, it is symbolic of a potentially cataclysmic shift in the way finance works on a global scale. 

The Land of the Enlightened’ on Netflix, Documentary 

This documentary is thoroughly surreal: it profiles groups of young boys in Afghanistan who dig up old Soviet explosives and sell them to miners. It reveals a deeply fractured world that exists beyond the realm of law and political rule. 

Around the World in 80 Days’ on Netflix, Action/Adventure

This is a kid-friendly flick about the historic journey of Phileas Fogg, an eccentric scientist and adventurer who dreams to make his way around the world. 

The Reluctant Fundamentalist’ on Netflix/Hulu, Drama

Based off a book of the same name, this dramatic movie considers the life of a young Pakistani professor in the years after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and his struggle with inflammatory and vitriolic-rhetoric aimed at people of Middle Eastern descent.

Three African-American women confront gender and racial stereotypes, and simultaneously help lead a team of NASA astronauts to the moon.
