Media “personality” Katie Hopkins loves to court controversy. Remember when she called migrants “cockroaches”? Or when she demanded a “final solution” following the Manchester terror attack last year? 

She’s never far from her Twitter account — her weapon of choice — and this time she decided to use the social media site to share a video of London’s Edgware Road. 

“Let’s play guess the country,” she wrote alongside the clip, which has now been viewed over 1.2 million times. “There is a big red clue in here if you are struggling.” 

The point she was presumably trying to make was that the shops, cafes, and restaurants that line the street aren’t “British” enough.

But instead of rallying the bigots, the tweet has had a pretty delightful reception. Rather than joining Hopkins in slamming Edgware Roads’ diversity, people have been celebrating it, sharing their best memories of the area, and planning trips to go see it for themselves.
