The wait is almost over — the highly anticipated Global Citizen Festival: Amazônia is just around the corner! On Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, the world will turn its eyes to the Estádio Olímpico do Pará — the iconic Mangueirão — in Belém, Brazil.
This unforgettable celebration will unite global superstars, powerful advocates, and Indigenous leaders to rally the world in defense of our planet — calling for bold action to protect the Amazon rainforest and end extreme poverty once and for all.
Recently, we announced that Charlie Puth is joining the incredible lineup of performers, alongside new presenters Alane Dias, Ricardinho, and Luiza Zveiter. Plus, don’t miss a special opening performance by Vivi Batidão, presented by Banco do Brasil, to set the stage for an unforgettable night.
They join the already stellar cast featuring Anitta, Seu Jorge, Gilberto Gil, Gaby Amarantos, Chris Martin (Coldplay), Eric Terena, Kaê Guajajara, and Djuena Tikuna. The event will be co-hosted by Regina Casé, Mel Fronckowiak, Hugo Gloss, and Isabelle Nogueira, with special appearances by Rodrigo Santoro and Estêvão Ciavatta.

What Are We Advocating For?
Global Citizen Festival: Amazônia will focus on amplifying the voices of Indigenous peoples and local communities in the Amazon rainforest. This year, global citizens everywhere will unite to call for urgent action on the following:
End Deforestation
The world's tropical rainforests are the lungs of our planet — but they’re being pushed to a point of no return. We are campaigning for at least $1 billion in new investments from OECD countries, philanthropies, companies, and major financial institutions to protect and restore the Amazon rainforest, supporting financial mechanisms like the Amazon Fund and the Fund for the Development of the Indigenous Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean (FILAC), as well as Indigenous- and locally-led projects curated by campaign partner Re:wild.
At the same time, we are calling on Amazon basin countries – including Brazil – to recognize and strengthen the land rights of Indigenous peoples, whose stewardship is essential to the protection of these vital ecosystems.
Additionally, companies will be mobilized to commit to end deforestation by investing in community based projects like the Equitable Earth Coalition, which directs climate finance to scale transformative, Indigenous and Traditional Communities led conservation initiatives that protect forests, safeguard biodiversity, and provide vital resources to communities in the Amazon.
Accelerate a Just Transition to Renewables
Without phasing out fossil fuels, global climate goals remain out of reach. We are advocating for countries — including France and Germany, as well as the European Union, South Africa, Nigeria, and others — to submit ambitious national climate plans (called Nationally Determined Contributions or NDCs) that set clear timelines for phasing out fossil fuels and committing to a future powered by renewable energy.
Support Communities on the Frontlines of Climate Impacts
Ending extreme poverty requires the world’s biggest emitters to support those bearing the brunt of the climate crisis, from deadly heat and rising seas to crop failures and water shortages. We are calling on high-income countries to step up with bold financial commitments that equip communities across the Global South — including smallholder farmers — with the tools to survive and adapt. We are also urging governments to hold polluting industries accountable by introducing fair and innovative levies on sectors such as aviation and fossil fuels — helping fund the very efforts frontline communities need to build resilience.
To make Global Citizen Festival: Amazônia accessible to all, including those without smartphones or internet access, and ensure that historically underrepresented communities have equitable access to attend, Global Citizen has partnered with the State of Pará and a network of regional organizations to distribute tickets directly to Indigenous peoples, local communities, and young people from across the Amazon region, including Usinas da Paz, SEPI (Secretary of Indigenous Peoples of Pará), Mídia Indígena, COP das Baixadas, REPAM (Rede Eclesial Pan-Amazônica), and Grupo Funtelpa.
