Our new app offers simple and actionable tasks that you can complete in just a few minutes to help defend the planet, demand equity, and defeat poverty.

We’ve added improved daily prompts, to inspire you to take action on the issues that matter most to you. Whether it's reducing your carbon footprint, advocating for marginalized communities, or contributing to ways to fight poverty, the app provides you with the tools and resources to make a tangible impact. 

The redesigned app also makes it easy to track your progress, connect with like-minded individuals, and stay informed about the latest news and developments in social and environmental justice. 

By joining our community of passionate and committed individuals, you'll not only make a difference in the world, but you'll also inspire others to do the same — which is what we all want, right? 

If you’re not already on your way to the app store or hitting that “update” button, here are some of the new app features we’re 110% pumped about: 

“For You” Screen: Four tasks delivered to you each day, designed to help you make measurable global impact.

“Discover” Screen: This combined feed features all Global Citizen’s content, letting you explore the  issues you care about and discover stories from activists around the world. You can  filter this content by the issues, advocacy areas, and activities relevant to you. 

Journeys: Our journeys  guide you through a series of small tasks to take over days or weeks to help you learn and act on a specific issue — from  combating period poverty and learning how to reduce your own carbon footprint (and call on world leaders to do the same), to  being a champion for clean water access. 

Ways to celebrate action-taking: What is life without celebrating your wins? As you take action,  you’ll earn points and unlock rewards,  leaderboards, badges, and milestones to recognize your efforts.

Donate Card: We’ve introduced a new ‘Donate Card’ in the Campaign and Discover tabs, making it easier to support causes you care about.   

Audio Collections: We've introduced 'Audio Collections' in the app, this feature allows you to easily discover, listen to, and share audio content.

Finding Audio Content: Navigating audio content on the app just got even easier. Head over to the Discover tab, where you'll find audio content displayed as cards. If an audio track is part of a collection, you’ll see a link or title to that collection that can be clicked on.

Listening to Collections: When you click on an audio content card that’s part of a collection, you’ll be directed to a dedicated audio screen. Here's where you’ll see a complete lineup of all the audio content in that collection, in the right order, complete with the collection’s cover image and description. 

Sharing Collections: You can easily share your favorite audio collections from the app. Just click the share button, and a shareable link with a preview for social media will be created.  

Audio Duration Display and Playback Control: This feature lets you check how long an audio content is directly on its card in the Discover tab, before you press play. Plus, the app now has a smart new feature that remembers your playback progress within audio content, making it easy for you to resume listening right where you left off. 

Open Links Directly: If you have the Global Citizen app installed, clicking a share link will open it directly in the app. If you don't have the app, or if you are using a desktop, the link will direct you to the app download page.

Your Communities Screen: This app release introduces a user profile page for managing communities. You can easily leave groups, showcase earned badges, and discover new communities that match your interests. 

Badge Showcase: View your earned community badges in a dedicated section called "Recent Community Badges." This section will only show when a Community Badge has been created and you have unlocked them. 

Discover New Communities: Find and join new communities through the "Join More Communities" section, where you can use the search function to find specific groups that match your interests.
