To fully recover from the pandemic and to build a fairer and better future for all, business leaders from every part of our global economy will need to step up. Recent studies show that 74% of consumers globally say that the private sector should take the lead on supporting social justice in partnership with governments.

And CEOs are on side too with 83% agreeing that business has the scale, speed and insight to help address key long-standing social justice problems. But how can they start?

The Justice Imperative Principles are a new set of ideals established by the Business Leaders For Justice Coalition — a group of private sector leaders committed to mobilizing ambitious actions to advance justice for all. The more business leaders we can get to endorse these principles and put them to action, the more impact we can have together. Private Sector leaders, like World Wide Technology, are already demonstrating support for the Justice Imperative Principles, including partnering with organizations that work to move people out of poverty through tech skills training and quality job placement.

The six principles are:

1. Driving ambitious action across operations and supply chains, focused on what justice means to people.
2. Uniting business leaders to lead by example in delivering positive change that benefits everyone.
3. Empowering our stakeholders, including employees,to give back to their communities and build just societies for all.
4. Working alongside governments, businesses, and justice partners to intentionally address justice challenges.
5. Leveraging influence, talent, and resources to be a voice for change and shape public policy.
6. Evaluating progress regularly to achieve a vision of justice for all.

Businesses listen to individual voices, and they need our encouragement to put their resources to work for the common good.

Let’s show business leaders that people everywhere want them to take action for a more just and fair world. Sign our petition and we will take your message directly to those who can deliver change.
