Global Citizen NOW Partners with Bedrock to Bring Action Summit to Detroit This Summer

Today, Global Citizen NOW, the international summit driving action to end extreme poverty, announced from the stage in New York City, “Next Stop, Detroit!” In collaboration with Bedrock, the first-ever Global Citizen NOW: Detroit will spotlight the city’s innovative efforts to invest in people, particularly young adults, as a model for urban revitalization. Taking place from July 8–11, 2025 at Hudson’s Detroit, the event will convene government, philanthropy, entertainment, business, and advocacy leaders to collaborate with local policymakers, grassroots organizers, and students on scalable solutions that invest in health-centered development and community-first innovation. 

Global Citizen NOW: Detroit will showcase how strategic investments can drive social transformation. The event will feature action-oriented sessions that explore Detroit’s dynamic evolution, driven by the collective efforts of private, public, and philanthropic sectors. Previous editions of Global Citizen NOW have been held in New York City, Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro and Paris. Later this year, the summit series will expand its global footprint and also head to Belém, Seville, and Johannesburg.
