GHANA

AfriKids Ghana

AfriKids Ghana is a locally led child rights organisation headquartered in Bolgatanga, Northern Ghana. For over 25 years, we have worked alongside communities and the Ghana Education Service to ensure children are safe, healthy and learning using a simple philosophy of listening to communities, empowering them to drive change themselves and in that way, ensure sustainability. Today, as the challenge has shifted from getting children into school to ensuring they learn, we are advancing Rise Up; our community-led education model, unlocking the power of communities (who we consider as the sleeping giants) in their children’s education and built on the belief that communities are children’s first classrooms and families are children's first teachers.
