It is vital for social movements to form around the world to engage politically to tackle some of the huge issues the world faces, like climate change, food poverty and environmental degradation. Over the past 7 years, we've seen massive positive changes come from people power on food waste - in many ways those struggles culminate in this current campaign to halve Europe's food waste farm-to-fork, which would be the most ambitious food waste agreement in the world if adopted.
This is Rubbish campaigns against the food wasted in the UK and Europe, through policy research, campaigning and community and arts led public events. TiR campaigns for transparent reporting of food waste, and binding food waste reduction targets. Its campaigns include Stop the Rot and Edible Education, and it is currently building a coalition around Europe to halve the EU's food waste.
