Global Citizen Comes to Japan with First Ever Show, Global Citizen Live: Tokyo, Headlined by &TEAM, Featuring AI and Yuki Chiba, Hosted by Chris Peppler

Tokyo, Japan // 7 April 2026 Global Citizen, the world’s largest movement to end extreme poverty, today announced the lineup of its first ever music event in Japan, Global Citizen Live: Tokyo, taking place at the Tokyo International Forum on 18 June 2026. Global Citizen Live: Tokyo will be headlined by &TEAM, with performances by Ai and Yuki Chiba, with more artists to be announced in the coming weeks. The event will be hosted by Chris Peppler.

All tickets sold for Global Citizen Live: Tokyo will contribute to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a global initiative to raise ¥16 billion to provide at least 100,000 children with access to quality education in over 150 countries – including in Japan – by the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

&TEAM is a global group featuring nine members: EJ, FUMA, K, NICHOLAS, YUMA, JO, HARUA, TAKI, and MAKI. They are nine individuals, each with their own unique qualities, united as one team to connect diverse worlds.

Ai is a Japanese-American singer, songwriter and rapper. Known as the “Queen of hip-hop soul”, her international reputation has grown with exciting collaborations with Snoop Dogg, The Jacksons, Chris Brown, Chaka Khan, and more. She was the first woman signed to Def Jam Japan, and serves as a Global Citizen Cultural Champion. 

Yuki Chiba is a Japanese rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer. He was the first-ever Japanese artist to perform at the MTV VMAs, and has collaborated with international artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, MurdaBeatz, Feid, and Big Sean.

Global Citizen Live: Tokyo is produced in partnership with Action Network, with support from major partner MetLife Japan. 

In the lead up to Global Citizen Live: Tokyo, fans can join the movement and earn rewards by downloading the Global Citizen app and taking action on some of the world’s most urgent issues, including global health and maternal and child health in the world’s most marginalized communities. These actions will help expand access to essential health services and improve outcomes for mothers and children, helping to prevent avoidable deaths in the world’s most vulnerable communities.
