The Global Goals need full cooperation from world leaders. The 17 Goals and 169 targets have to be carried by all countries if they are to be achieved.

Think about it.

To achieve gender equality, all women have to be regarded as equals and given full freedom over their lives. Not some women, all women. Not most women, all women.

To reverse climate change, all countries have to cut back on carbon emissions and invest in renewable energy.

To save the environment, all countries have to begin rehabilitating disrupted ecosystems.

To eliminate illiteracy, all children have to be educated.

Fortunately, leaders are stepping up. At the 2015 Global Citizen Festival leaders from the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Japan, Rwanda, Malawi, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, the United States and more, announced their intention to execute the Goals.

And the day before at the UN General Assembly, all 193 participating countries agreed upon the Goals.

That’s a lot of momentum. But the world still needs more. This is a global burden that everyone needs to help lift. That’s why you need to become an advocate for the Global Goals by telling everyone you know what they are and how they can be achieved.
