This weekend, feminists around the world filled the streets to stand up for women’s rights and gender equality — and to remind everyone that they’re not going anywhere. 

It marks one year since millions of people turned out for the first Women’s March, held on the first full day of Donald Trump’s presidency. 

This year’s march — the “Times Up March” — comes on the back of the #MeToo movement, the Westminster sex scandal, on the 100-year anniversary since the first women got the vote in the UK, and ever greater revelations about the gender pay gap — so there was plenty to get riled up about.
