The Global Citizen platform, the community around it, and the actions we take together were made by and for global citizens. We’re here to help get millions of new people into the fight to end extreme poverty around the world, because this is something that none of us can achieve alone.

At its core, Global Citizen is simple: it’s a place where people like you can learn about global issues and take actions, unlocking their social power, for good. We do this a few ways:

- We publish dozens of stories and videos each week about the progress and challenges of fighting poverty around the world. We drop the jargon and tell it to you straight, because we believe that you don’t need to be an academic to understand what's going on.

- We give you the chance to take meaningful actions that link issues in the news to real change on the ground. Sometimes that’s about signing a petition or sending an email, other times it’s sharing a story, making a phone call, or attending an event.

- We link you up with the most effective NGOs out there to take action on the issues that are most important to creating a just and sustainable world. You can meet them here.

- Sharing regular updates and opportunities to learn and take action on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

And we’ll always bring the results of those actions back to you, so that you can see how your voice, your name, and your ideas make a difference in the world.
