When I think back at my childhood, I see a hazy picture of going to school, making up imaginary stories with my friends, and playing video games.

The biggest thing I had to worry about was having enough money in my allowance to buy pokemon cards or whether or not it was pizza day in the school cafeteria.

I was incredibly privileged.

Over the next 3 weeks, Global Citizens will have the chance to take action around an issue that we can ALL get behind: kids.

While I was able to lead a carefree childhood, millions of kids around the world don't have that opportunity. They worry about staying healthy, whether or not they can safely go to the bathroom and get clean water, or whether they'll even have the opportunity to go to school.

It's 2014 - we can do better than that. Here's how:

Mark these days on your calendars. We'll be using each of them to get the attention of people who have the power to help millions of kids.

1) On May 22, we'll be calling on the US Administration to reallocate moneywe already have to save more lives than ever before.

2) On May 29, members of congress will hear the voices of Global Citizens calling for a strong US commitment toward ensuring every child can have access clean water and sanitation

3) On June 5 - we take aim at some of the world's biggest corporations to let them know that they have a responsibility to give back.

And as if simply saving kids' lives wasn't enough, we have a HUGE added incentive. We'll be giving away 100 free tickets to see Tiesto, Above and Beyond, Krewella, Alvin Risk and Cedric Gervais at the Merriweather Post Pavilion on June 26th.

You may not think so, but your voices matter. We've seen thistime and timeagain.

I’m working toward a world where every child, everywhere has a chance to be as fortunate as I was. Will you join me?
