On Saturday tragedy struck Nepal when the earth shook in a massive 7.8 earthquake. The loss of life is in the thousands and the devastation is widespread.

WaterAid has been on the ground in Nepal for over 20 years and thankfully our local staff are safe, but their lives have been changed forever.

Access to safe water, toilets and hygiene are vital in order for recovery to begin and to prevent dangerous outbreaks of disease.  Our first priority must be the urgent need for water and sanitation. Later, in the following weeks and months, we will begin the process of rebuilding what has been lost.

The people of Nepal need us now to recover and later to rebuild.

Your support is vital.

WaterAid needs your help to respond to the critical water and sanitation needs today, tomorrow and over the years it will take to rebuild. Please support WaterAid’s efforts to provide critical clean and safe water and sanitation, by donating today.
