Meet Martha, the who might be the coolest grandmother on Earth. Her infectious laughter and gigantic smile are enough to make you want to jump up and dance with her.

Her friends call her a champion. And in this video, you can see why.

The saddest day of Martha’s life was when her son died of HIV. She was in her 70s and left to care for and raise her son's three infant children.

Along with other women who care for orphans, Martha is fortunate enough to be part of a group who are supported by Australian Aid.

Watch Martha’s video to see how Australian Aid helped transform Martha’s life into a fruitful joyous one.

Now, like many others who have been empowered through Aid, she is on a mission to help others.

“Giving to those in greater need than yourself, that’s how you end poverty and suffering,” she says.

As an Aid recipient, Martha understands the importance of giving. She shares this pearl of wisdom: “If you share with others you will be happy.”

When asked how her life has been transformed, the words are written all over her beaming face.

“I have no words to describe it, just my smile.” And what a smile it is!
