Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Chris Coons (D-DE) reach across party lines to work together to reform the way America delivers food aid to make it faster and more effective. Senator Coons stated "American food assistance is life saving. But the way we deliver that assistance is broken. That's why we've been working together to fully reform the food aid system." Senator Corker added, "by avoiding excessive shipping costs and eliminating inefficiencies we can feed millions more people around the world, more quickly, while saving taxpayer dollars. There's a long, hard road ahead, and we cannot get there without your help."

The two thanked Global Citizens for their tireless work on pushing Congress to pass food aid reform measures, such as the Global Food Security Act which gained over 100,000 signatures. They encouraged Global Citizens to keep up the good work!
