Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Parliamentary Secretary Brett Mason are on our side. They’ve both stated their enthusiastic support for ending this disease.
But with $4.5 billion being gutted from our international development budget, they’re under immense pressure to take the shears to any program they can get away with.
Tell them that polio eradication is one program that shouldn’t be cut.
Julie Bishop is currently considering the Government’s aid priorities, and we’ve heard she’s turned to Brett Mason for advice.
So join us in this, our (fingers crossed) final push for polio funding from the Australian Government. We’ve been meeting with key decision makers behind the scenes and we need to back that up with a strong outpouring of public support.
Please send an email to Julie Bishop and Brett Mason now.
