In the four years since the war in Syria began, more than 200,000 people have been killed and more than 11 million people have been forced to flee their homes – including nearly four million to neighboring countries.

With your help, Oxfam has helped nearly 1.5 million people across Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan with lifesaving aid – but we must also do all we can to push our leaders to forge a lasting peace in the region.

There is hope in Syria – we see it every day. Local advocates are helping establish ceasefires, and every day Syrians are providing their neighbors with humanitarian assistance. We all can – and should – stand beside them.

President Obama and Congress have shown a commitment to address the threat posed by ISIS, but they need to do more to address the wider conflict and make peace in Syria.
