There are a lot of efforts in place by a lot of people and organizations to make sure The Global Goals become famous. You can get a sense of the scale of the operation here.

But making sure everyone in the world knows about the Goals is a herculean task.

How are you supposed to make sure every single person in every country, in every town and city, in every room and on every walkway knows about the Goals?

(Check out my colleague’s woman-on-the-street video to see how hard (but fun) this will be.)

One way to overcome this challenge is to create thousands and millions of advocates who can reach all the people whom the advertisements and proclamations miss.

The best way to go about this? Getting students involved and interested.

d'Arcy Lunn

Global Citizen advocate and professional resident nomad volunteer d’Arcy Lunn is on a quest to spread the Global Goals through schools across the world. He recently traveled to Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore and spoke with more than 3,000 students.

He’s teaching kids about the Goals and inspiring them to believe that all 17 can be achieved if everyone gets involved.

That means no more gender inequality, no more hunger, no more preventable diseases taking far more lives than they should. That means education for all, dignified work for all and a vibrant, healthy environment for all.

If these kids go on to tell their parents, relatives and friends, and they tell people they know, then, eventually, the network of people who know of the Global Goals will grow and grow.

Also, by teaching students about the Global Goals early in their lives, they can grow up with them as a guiding set of values, which will make the next generation of leaders even more committed.

As other advocates go to more schools, then someday soon the Global Goals network could grow to more than 7 billion. That's cause for celebration.

By calling on world leaders in TAKE ACTION NOW, you’ll be doing your part to make The Global Goals universal.
