British singer-songwriter RAYE is ready to rock the Global Citizen Festival stage in the name of a more just and equitable world. After breaking records by winning six BRIT awards in a single year, RAYE is using her powerful music to inspire fans to take action toward a world free from discrimination and prejudice.
The “Escapism” singer will be performing at the annual music festival in New York City on Sept. 28, 2024 alongside Post Malone, Doja Cat, LISA, Jelly Roll, Rauw Alejandro, and Benson Boone. Every year, the Global Citizen Festival aims to drive urgent action on some of the world’s most pressing policy demands. This year, the festival’s primary policy goals are boiled down into three pillars of action: Defeat Poverty, Defend the Planet, and Demand Equity. Renowned artists, politicians, activists, and organizations will come together on Sept. 28 to drive action on these critical issues.
This is not the first time RAYE has used her voice to spotlight issues she cares passionately about. The star has consistently used her platform to advocate for songwriter rights, specifically calling for songwriters to be fairly compensated for their work. In her acceptance speech for the Ivors Academy’s Songwriter of the Year award, RAYE spoke out for the “voiceless, beating heart of this industry, which is songwriters.”
RAYE is standing with Global Citizen to call for equity in not just the music industry, but in all sectors and regions of the world. She is calling on fans to rise up for a world where everyone feels safe and secure, free from discrimination and prejudice.
