Neha founded a small enterprise called Jewelry for Youth, which sources and resells jewelry from a variety of craftsman in Delhi. Working with jewelry artisans and running her own business, Neha quickly learned an important lesson: When money is hard-earned, you value every penny. She also learned that keeping handwritten financial records is inefficient and prone to errors.

Through HP LIFE, Neha acquired the technology and business skills needed to better manage her time and her numbers. She also learned how to use charts and graphs to represent financial data and improve the way she markets her business.

Neha dreams of being a social entrepreneur, further uplifting and improving the lives of her jewelry craftsmen.

Neha is one of five Global South entrepreneurs that was nominated for an HP LIFE entrepreneurship award in 2013. Please view the other four entrepreneur stories featured at www.globalcitizen.org/hplife. By sharing these inspiring stories with others, you can earn 2 Global Citizen points.
