When Grammy-nominated recording artist J.Views reached out to the world for videos of themselves dancing in public places, he was moved to tears by what he saw.

People from all over the globe came together to demonstrate their passion, their love, and their creativity.

Together they moved like they weren’t afraid.

Now, something big is on its way. And we need you to make it happen!

Global Citizen and J. Views are teaming up to create a new movement: the #WeMove campaign.

At a time when it feels like so many forces are working to drive us apart, we need to stand up and get moving to show that we will always be stronger together.

Starting today we want you to film yourself dancing in public or in private. Anywhere, and everywhere. We don’t expect it to be be professional — just from the heart.

Upload your video to social media using the hashtag, #WeMove, and add a message of unity. We suggest “For Freedom. For Justice. For All.” Inspire your friends to do the same by tagging them in the post.

From all of your videos, Global Citizen will create a montage that the entire world can watch. The most creative videos will be broadcast on stage to over 60,000 people during the Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Sept. 23!

Remember to be safe and have fun when picking your location to dance. In the middle of a beach is beautiful. In the middle of a busy street, not so much.

This isn't about raising money. It's about changing the conversation. We want you to help us create a message of unity and freedom through your expression.
