Actress, singer, and philanthropist Jennifer Hudson performed a series of songs on Instagram Live as part of the "Together At Home" concert series on Wednesday.

Hudson started off the livestream by greeting her fans and introducing her pianist, Fred Nelson. She also read and sang a few comments from her followers and wished Aretha Franklin a happy birthday.

"Y’all ready for this concert from home?" she began.

Promoting messages of unity and hope, Hudson encouraged people to stay at home and stay healthy.

"Just so you know, me and Fred are six feet apart," Hudson said.

After introducing her dog, Dreamgirl, who was barking in the background, Hudson began the performance by singing "The Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha, followed by "All In Love Is Fair" by Stevie Wonder.

"We need to make sure we’re staying safe, following the rules, and doing as we’re told," Hudson told her fans.

The Academy Award-winning singer introduced the rest of her pets, who were wandering around the room, and went on to perform "Memory" from Cats.

"This reality teaches you to be prepared for anything ... We have no choice but to keep on going," she said.

Hudson closed the virtual concert with a performance of Leonard Cohen’s "Hallelujah" and encouraged her viewers to visit GlobalCitizen.org to learn more about how to tackle the coronavirus pandemic through the "Together At Home" campaign.

"Be sure to stay indoors everyone. Stay close to your families," she said.

"Together At Home" is an ongoing virtual campaign that was launched on March 16 by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization (WHO). Its aim is to unite people across the globe during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, while encouraging Global Citizens to take action and call on world leaders to contribute funding to the WHO’s historic COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
