There are a number of relatively simple interventions that can save the lives of mums and babies in the developing world. Each day in Uganda, 16 mums will die from child birth and 123 newborns will die, most within their first week of life.

The ISIS Foundation supports a rural bush hospital, Kiwoko Hospital, in Uganda to train nurses and doctors in neonatal resuscitation, help mothers learn the nurturing and bonding powers of skin-to-skin contact through kangaroo mother care and work in partnership to collaboratively develop a programme to implement low cost technology that will save the lives of countless babies in the neonatal intensive care unit.

ISIS works hand in hand with rural communities in Nepal and Uganda to establish interventions to support health, education and community infrastructure. . We always always do what’s best for the kids. Find out more about our work at www.isisgroup.org.
