Why Global Citizens Should Care
Global Citizen launched VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World, part of the Recovery Plan for the World campaign, in an effort to acknowledge the hope COVID-19 vaccines are bringing to people across the globe. At the same time, the concert will call on the world to work together to inspire vaccine confidence and ensure vaccines are distributed equitably. Join Global Citizen and take action here for an end to the pandemic for everyone, everywhere.

This Sunday, May 9, Global Citizen is taking over your screens.

Just like our huge broadcast campaigns in 2020, One World: Together At Homeand Global Goal: Unite For Our Future, this year, we’re presenting the globally televised VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World

The vaccination campaign will celebrate health workers while calling for world leaders, businesses and philanthropists to increase investment into health initiatives working around the clock to get COVID-19 vaccines to everyone in a safe, effective and equitable way.

The concert — hosted by multi-platinum recording artist, actress and producer Selena Gomez — will feature musical performances by Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin and H.E.R. Special guests also making an appearance include Ben Affleck, Chrissy Teigen, David Letterman, Gayle King, Jimmy Kimmel, Nomzamo Mbatha, Olivia Munn and Sean Penn.

Among these incredible stars will be Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who will act as campaign chairs — a role that will see them deliver important messages during the event and call on the private sector to raise critical funds for vaccine equity.
