Global campaign CHIME FOR CHANGE and partner Kellogg’s Special K have joined forces for the second year, to shine a light on issues women and girls around the world face on a daily basis. Without access to Education, Health and Justice, many women and girls do not live in colour, suffering or missing out the basic elements of life that many of us take for granted.

CHIME FOR CHANGE and Special K are bringing colour back to lives of women and girls by helping to fund 23 projects, run by charities in 18 countries over three continents. These projects will help improve the lives of 25,000 women and girls.

CHIME and Special K are working with 23 non-profit partners in 18 countries to provide vital support for projects ranging from helping homeless women in the UK get back into the workplace to feeding hungry students in Peru. To raise awareness of the issues, CHIME FOR CHANGE and Special K are encouraging individuals to post black-and-white selfies using the hashtag #BringColourBack.

CHIME and Special K launched the campaign at an event in London featuring a performance by Ellie Goulding. Goulding herself posted a black-and-white selfie in support of the campaign, encouraging followers to do the same.

“Women around the world are powerful, talented and full of potential,” said Goulding. “By working together to ‘Bring Colour Back’ to those who have been denied Education, Health and Justice I believe we can make great strides toward equality.”

CHIME FOR CHANGE Co-Founder and 2015 Global Citizen Festival co-host Salma Hayek Pinault also joined the movement.

Special K is also featuring #BringColourBack campaign messaging in advertising and communications, on 2.5 million Special K packs, creating engagement on social media and digital channels and forming a media partnership with Cosmopolitan magazine.
