Earlier this month, Global Citizen asked everyone with a creative bone in their body to put their talents to work for a pretty incredible cause: the Global Goals, aka the Sustainable Development Goals, aka the UN's new roadmap to a better world.

One week and several hundred emails later, we're excited to share a selection of creative takes on the Goals, submitted by your fellow global citizens! The following are three of our favorite creations...

Ana Paula Gomes from Salvador, Brazil, dedicated this eye-catching painting to the Global Goals. The title? One word: "Hope."

What does a painting like this have to do with ending extreme poverty, you ask? Ana had this to say about her inspiration:

"I've made a drawing some months ago and now looking it, specially because of the deep eyes, I see Hope. And I think that Hope is the major word to describe the Global Citizen movement. That's what the society needs to believe in a better future. Let's make part of this movement, fight against what's pushing us down and fight for HOPE."

Well put, Ana. There's no doubt these Global Goals are ambitious, and the problems they address do sometimes seem insurmountable, so a hopeful outlook is a must. The woman in this painting radiates a quiet, confident sort of hope—it's almost as though she's peering into the future and envisioning the world the Global Goals are designed to help create.

Stephanie Smith decided to help make the Goals famous using two of the simplest tools out there: a pen and paper.

love the message Stephanie wanted her work to convey. She wrote, "I wanted to portray the cause as some that can be easily done. That even the smallest amount of effort can make a big impact. I wanted it to be understood that this goal could be achieved with the help of any person. Doesn't matter age, color, etc. Just a simple as writing with pen and paper."

Further proof that the simplest gestures often pack a big punch. Nicely done, Stephanie!

Last but certainly not least, check out this music video from one rockin' Canadian family...

Joey, Karen, and Samantha of the band Still Eighteen are the musicians behind this one-of-a-kind take on the Global Goals. It honestly blows my mind that they managed to develop a concept, write a brand-new song and produce a music video in a matter of days. Just goes to show you how much creativity a cause as key as the Global Goals can unleash!
