Central Park, get ready! On Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, the Great Lawn will once again fill with thousands of Global Citizens and some of the biggest artists on the planet for the 2026 Global Citizen Festival.
And now, we can finally reveal who’s taking the stage.
Ms. Lauryn Hill & Wyclef Jean will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Fugees’ seminal album The Score, alongside Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Shaboozey, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.
The Festival will be hosted by longtime Global Citizen Ambassador Hugh Jackman, with appearances from Rachel Brosnahan and Gayle King. And keep watching this space: more artists and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
But Global Citizen Festival has never been a concert you simply buy your way into. You take action to get there, and this year, there’s a brand-new way to turn those actions into your place on the Great Lawn.
New for 2026: Another Way to Secure Your Global Citizen Festival Ticket
As always, Global Citizen Festival tickets are free and earned by taking action. Head to the Global Citizen app, complete your action journey, and earn points along the way.
Here’s what’s new: once you’ve completed your action journey and earned enough points, you can choose how you want to redeem them. You can enter the free ticket lottery, just as Global Citizens have done in previous years.
Or, new this year, you can make a $25 charitable donation to instantly secure your ticket, while the limited allocation lasts.
One important thing to know: this isn’t a $25 ticket. Action still comes first. You’ll need to complete your action journey and earn enough points before the donation option becomes available.
And your $25 will do some good right here in New York City. Funds raised will go to City Parks Foundation to support its free programming and community engagement initiatives in parks across all five boroughs, as well as to organizations helping people experiencing homelessness across the city.
So, What Are We Taking Action On?
Beyond earning your way to the Great Lawn, your actions this year will support three big goals: creating opportunities for 2 million children to go to school, backing 1.5 million smallholder farmers, and helping turn the lights on for 2.5 million homes.
And we’ve already seen what this kind of collective action can achieve. The first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show, produced by Global Citizen, helped raise $60 million for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
“The lesson is that extreme poverty can be defeated, and that progress is a choice,” said Hugh Evans, Co-Founder and CEO of Global Citizen. “The question facing us and our leaders today is simple: will we be the generation that finishes the job, or the generation that allows decades of progress to unravel?”
Help Create Opportunities for 2 Million Children to Go to School
School can open up a world of possibilities for a child. Yet around the world, millions still lack access to education, nutritious meals, health care, and other essentials that help them learn and thrive.
The 2026 Global Citizen Festival campaign is calling on the governments of Denmark, Ireland, Japan, Spain, and Norway, alongside businesses and philanthropists, to collectively contribute $100 million to help provide 2 million children with access to education, sports, school meals, and health care.
That funding would support work through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, Gavi, Education Cannot Wait, GPEI, and the Child Nutrition Fund.
For 2 million children, that could mean getting into a classroom, staying healthy enough to keep learning, and having more choices about what comes next.
Back 1.5 Million Smallholder Farmers Who Feed Their Communities
Smallholder farmers grow the food that families and communities depend on every day. Yet too many of the people feeding their communities remain at risk of going hungry themselves.
Across Africa and the Brazilian Amazon, millions of farmers still lack reliable access to the seeds, tools, and financing they need to grow more crops, earn reliable incomes, and support their families.
The 2026 Global Citizen Festival campaign is calling on the governments of Spain, Norway, Ireland, and Kenya, alongside businesses and philanthropists, to collectively contribute $100 million to strengthen food security for 1.5 million smallholder farmers across Africa and the Brazilian Amazon through IFAD and Amazônia+21’s Rural+Green Fund.
When farmers have what they need to thrive, the benefits travel far beyond one farm — helping put more food on tables and building more secure livelihoods.
Help Turn the Lights On for 2.5 Million Homes
For millions of people, reliable electricity remains out of reach. Access to electricity can change almost every part of daily life — it can mean students studying after sunset, health clinics keeping lifesaving medicines cold, and families safely lighting their homes and preparing meals.
The 2026 Festival campaign builds on Global Citizen’s Scaling Up Renewables in Africa campaign, which helped secure over €15.5 billion in funding, and will focus on expanding clean energy and microgrids across vulnerable small island nations and Indigenous communities in the Indo-Pacific region.
Working alongside Pacific leaders from Fiji, Palau, and Tuvalu, Global Citizen is calling on the Australian government to help mobilize the $1.5 billion needed to help Pacific nations withstand volatile fuel prices.
The goal: help turn the lights on for 2.5 million homes — and unlock everything that reliable power makes possible.
