Now famous for this subtle shuffle, Harbour is about to get down in front of a new audience: penguins in Antarctica.
After a Twitter exchange with environmental activist group Greenpeace, Harbour asked to join the organization’s expedition to Antarctica.
Hey @Greenpeace , how many retweets to send me someplace to tell emperor penguin couples I think they have terrific parenting ideologies? Perhaps hone the Hopper dance with the males...

The next day, Greenpeace fired back with a challenge.
Hmm, if you get over 200k we’ll ask the Captain if you can join our expedition to the Antarctic and dance with the penguins. #StrangerThings have happened https://t.co/qT78aIcKOwpic.twitter.com/LmmLceE17J

Whether this offer was in earnest or in jest, Harbour excitedly fired up the internet to do what it does best: create moments where celebrities hang out with cute animals.

In response, Greenpeace ensured that they would make good on their promise, enlisting the services of one of their Antarctic boat mates to break the news.
Well, @DavidKHarbour, chief mate Fernando just made it official. Get your dancing shoes on, because you'll be heading to the Antarctic in no time.

Harbour shot off one more tweet to show his appreciation, not just for the opportunity to dance with penguins, but also for the environmental activism Greenpeace engages in.
Fernando, thanks for protecting vital unheralded ecosystems in super cold places and everything but please leave the dancing to the professionals...🙄

If you’ll excuse me. I gotta get some snow pants. https://t.co/s00z5abrZK
It seems like fans of the Hopper dance are in for a treat, just as soon as Harbour manages to get some new snow pants.
