What’s better than beautiful music? Beautiful music that brings attention to a group of people who need the support of our global community. And Coldplay’s Chris Martin announced his plans to do just that at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

Not only will Coldplay headline the festival for the first time since 2005, but Martin said Monday, World Refugee Day, that the band will also donate an exclusive live recording to Oxfam’s forthcoming album, “Oxfam Presents: Stand As One — Live at Glastonbury 2016.” Coldplay will be joined by Muse, Chvrches, and others on the album, which will be available digitally July 11, with physical copies available Aug. 12.

The Stand As One campaign calls on Coldplay fans and people everywhere to stand in solidarity with with those fleeing their war-torn homes in search of safety and a better life.

“Right now there are more refugees in the world than at any other time in recent history,” Coldplay said in a statement. “They could be us and we could be them. The good news is: we can all help.”

The Stand As One album will be released in honor of Jo Cox, a former Oxfam activist who was killed in her West Yorkshire constituency on June 16. Jo was a dedicated advocate for those fleeing persecution in war-torn Syria and served as a chair of the All Party Parliamentary Friends of Syria Group.

You can stand with Coldplay for refugees everywhere by signing the petition, taking action for education in emergencies, or pre-purchasing the album before its release on July 11. Let people who are far from home know that we are doing whatever we can to help!
