Scoring an invite to the Royal Wedding is a sizeable challenge — even for current and former world leaders. Barack and Michelle Obama didn’t make the cut. Nor did President Donald Trump and first lady Melania. Or Theresa May.
Enter 15-year-old Faith Dickinson.
On Tuesday, Dickinson — an Ontario teen who started a nonprofit called Cuddles for Cancer that provides free, hand-stitched blankets to cancer patients — was invited to the Royal Wedding, CBC reports.

Her invitation to the wedding is a testament to her more than five years of work with cancer patients.
According to Kawartha Now, Dickinson began knitting blankets for cancer patients at the age of nine when she found out her aunt had breast cancer and suffered from chills after receiving treatments. She’s since hand-stitched more than 3,500 personalized blankets to send around the world at no-cost to recipients.
Last year, she was honored with a Diana Award, which is given to young people who display “kindness, compassion and service” toward others.
According to the CBC report, Dickinson met Princes Harry and William at the Diana Award ceremony.

"Prince William told me that I was just doing such an amazing thing," she said at the time. "And Prince Harry told me that I was the most impressive redhead there tonight.”

She will now be among the 1,200 members of the public in attendance at the Royal Wedding on May 19.
Also in attendance will be Reuben Litherland, 14, who works with his local deaf community and teaches sign language lessons at school; Shaneil Hodges, 15, who helps connect working class young people to community resources; and Saeed Atcha, 21, who started a charity that trains young people to become journalists; among many others.
