Streams of colorful confetti rained down on nearly 11,000 global citizens at the Barclaycard arena on July 6 during the kickoff of the Global Citizen Festival Hamburg.
The crowd, outfitted with brightly lit LED wristbands from Coldplay, possessed an electric energy as they cheered on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Coldplay, Shakira, Ellie Goulding, Demi Lovato, Herbert Grönemeyer, and more, throughout the night.
Halfway through the show, Pharrell Williams said: “This is the sound of change in 2017.”
Well, these are the faces of change in 2017.
The Global Citizens who attended Global Citizen Festival Hamburg are the same who helped secured 750,904 actions that led to $706 of commitments, set to reach 113 million people by 2030.
