After World Toilet Day yesterday there are two stats I can't get out of my head:

1. 750 million people don't have access to clean water

2. A third of the world's population lacks access to adequate sanitation

When I think of these facts, I think of how exhausting it must be to walk miles to find a water source, or how uncomfortabe it must be to have to defecate in the open.

But this video shows that the issue extends far beyond just having a place to get water or use the bathroom nearby. Lack of access to water and sanitation profoundly impacts gender equality, educational disparities, health and global poverty too.

Global Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation, is connected to all of the other global goals.

Watch the video to see why goal 6 needs to be a global priority.
