In London, a school girl wrote a message on a wall for the victims of a massive fire that engulfed the 24-story-high-rise Grenfell Tower on Tuesday night. Dozens have been confirmed dead, many more remain missing. It’s yet another tragedy in a series of calamities that have affected the city in recent months.

Philippine troops raised the national flag for their Independence Day on June 12 to commemorate those killed during a 14-hour battle to reclaim Marawi City from hundreds of Islamic State militants.

Thursday night, at a congressional baseball practice field in Alexandria, Virginia, signs reading “Scalise Strong” were held high after congressman Steve Scalise was shot Wednesday morning.
