Gina is a Digital Content Intern for Global Citizen. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services at St. John’s University. Just shy of 5 feet, (4 feet, 11 & 3 quarter inches to be exact), she knows that no matter how small you can absolutely be mighty and make change! As a true believer that a path towards change can begin with a simple conversation shared over a cup of tea, she also believes sloths are the cutest animals and brunch is the best meal of the day.
I am a global citizen because people matter and everyone should have the opportunity to develop into the best versions of themselves. I’ve discovered that global justice is not only about peacemaking, but it is also about peacekeeping, two things that can be achieved through our very own actions of compassion and communication. We belong to one another as a community of human beings, so why not make our actions count towards peace and justice?
