Tell the UK: Back Global Forest Protection Now

Use your voice to show the Prime Minister that the UK must stand up for tropical forests.

What to know:

  • Thousands urged the UK to fund tropical forest protection, but the UK still hasn't pledged.
  • Forests store carbon and sustain life, yet without UK funding and global support, they face irreversible loss.
  • PM Keir Starmer can still act. Call on him to back global forest protection and deliver real climate action now.

Learn More about this cause:

The world’s tropical forests are our planet’s lungs, absorbing carbon, regulating rainfall, and protecting biodiversity. But as COP30 leaders are meeting, the UK has not yet seized the opportunity to step in boldly - for instance by joining the Amazon Fund or the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF), a new innovative fund designed to reward countries for keeping forests standing and a 2025 Finalist for The Earthshot Prize.

The UK led the way in mobilising international action on forest protection at COP26. And played a key role in supporting the Brazilian Government to develop the TFFF. The Prime Minister still has an opportunity to uphold this legacy and stand by the UK’s commitment to protect tropical rainforests and support the TFFF.

We urge the Prime Minister to listen to Global Citizens across the UK calling for bold action to protect our tropical rainforests and our planet.

Show the Prime Minister that you back urgent UK action to stand up for forests, not walk away from them.
