Global Citizen lit up two of London’s most iconic landmarks — Tower Bridge and Parliament — with an urgent call: protect every child, everywhere from deadly but preventable diseases.
The video projected across the city carried a clear message: We need UK action and bold leadership to fully fund Gavi and safeguard the next generation.
Since 2000, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance has delivered vaccines to 1.1 billion children and helped prevent over 18 million deaths. But global progress is at risk. As of 2024, 14.5 million children — most in lower-income countries — still missed out entirely.
This isn’t just a crisis for them — it’s a global threat. Gavi helps stop outbreaks before they spread, strengthens health systems, and builds a safer world for all.
The UK has long been a champion of global health. With the 2025 Gavi Replenishment Summit approaching, the world needs the UK to step up again. With renewed support, Gavi could reach 500 million more children by 2030.
Post the video. Tag UK leaders. Call on the UK to protect child health, fully fund Gavi — and lead by showing up at the summit.
