Donald Trump has just been inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States of America. Now as the leader of the largest economy in the world, it’s critical that Global Citizens make sure the Trump administration commits to an end to extreme poverty by 2030.

Over the next four years, there will be many challenges that the Trump administration will need to address globally and here in the United States. When it comes to poverty issues in the United States, President-Elect Trump has spoken at length about his plans to improve access to paid maternity leave and child care, as well as his support for reducing student debt, but he hasn’t addressed global poverty as a whole.

Global Citizens know that to make a real impact on extreme poverty, we need to put girls and women at the center of our approach. Education, access to clean water and sanitation, food security, and global health will all be vital issues for the Trump administration to tackle in the coming four years.

Join us now in calling on President Trump to support the poorest in the world, and declare your hope to see an end of extreme poverty by 2030.
