Every year, U.S. global health programs help save millions of lives by fighting deadly diseases like malaria, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis; supporting maternal and child health; delivering life-saving vaccines; and strengthening health systems worldwide.
Right now, nearly $2 billion in FY24 global health funds — already approved by Congress — are at risk of expiring if not obligated by Sept. 30, 2025. That means critical resources meant to protect vulnerable communities could be lost.
Due to new restrictions and delays, hundreds of millions remain unspent, and recent leadership changes raise real concerns that the clock will run out. This is urgent: if these funds are not obligated immediately, they’ll disappear.
Congress must step up to ensure that every dollar is put to work saving lives. Call your Representative or Senator today and demand they push Secretary Rubio to release these funds before it’s too late.
