Mother’s Day may mean different things to us all. But one thing’s for sure — it’s a time where we should step back and appreciate the incredible job mothers do — and step up to make their lives better.
Two billion women across the world are mothers, and many still face unbelievable challenges. The global risk of death during pregnancy and childbirth is still too high - every two minutes a woman dies just trying to give birth to her child. Mothers fight to protect their children against diseases, and many mothers suffer considerable inequalities in the workplace as they seek to raise their children.
This Mother’s Day we’re asking you to take our three most important actions fighting for real change for mothers around the world. We are demanding governments everywhere increase funding to ensure all women are able to give birth safely, that every child has access to life-saving vaccinations, and that — ultimately — we build a world where She Is Equal.
Do something extraordinary — make the world better for mothers and their children across the globe. Take action now.
