Crowdsourcing new ways of funding? Yes please!

After all, achieving the SDGs is all of our responsibility. Education Cannot Wait (ECW), the global fund for education in emergencies is seeking new ideas to raise money for education.

Emergencies, including crisis and natural disasters are affecting African countries more frequently, forcing young people out of school in South Sudan, Chad, the DRC and the Central African Republic. And we think global citizens may hold the ideas on how we can raise the necessary funds to fill the $8.5B annual gap to fund education in emergencies.

Your idea on how ECW can raise the critical funds it needs could be a step provide education to 75 million crisis-affected children and youth by 2030. Resource mobilization ideas should be innovative and substantive and have the potential to raise at least US$50 million per year for education in emergencies.

Prizes of up to US$25,000 will be awarded for the best plans for resource mobilization, and you could receive seed funding to see through your idea as well!

Submit your idea by July 31 at educationcannotwait.org/challenge
