The fight to end polio could be nearly over - but we urgently need your help to ensure this deadly disease is eradicated forever.

Thirty years ago, polio paralyzed more than 350,000 people a year. Since then, 18 million people are still walking and the disease has been 99% eradicated thanks to the relentless work of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI).

Despite the incredible progress that’s been made, it’s not over yet. Until the disease is eradicated for good, it will put the lives of children at risk.

Without Canada doing its part, the GPEI will lack the funds needed to carry out its life-saving work, with serious implications. Children in fragile countries will be left vulnerable to the disease, and within ten years we could see as many as 200,000 new polio cases each year, all over the world.

Tell Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and International Development Minister Karina Gould to ask Canada to help vaccinate every last child for a polio-free world.
