Learn More about this cause:

No-one puts their child in a boat unless the water is safer than the land.

Over 60 refugees – including children – from Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan have drowned in a shipwreck off the coast of Italy.

This is the latest in a string of avoidable tragedies in the Mediterranean – the world's most dangerous border – where European deterrence policies are forcing refugees to take life-threatenning routes to reach safety.

But it's not just Europe. Across the world, governments are implementing dangerous and punitive policies that put some of the poorest and most vulnerable people at risk as they search for safety for themselves and their families.

It's time to put humanity first. Don't let governments get away with dehumanising refugees. Leave your message in solidarity and demand safe routes.
