Learn More about this cause:

Diseases such as elephantiasis swell and deform people’s bodies. You might think that a disease like this belongs in the past, and thanks to improvements in modern medicine, for many of us it does. But for millions of people around the world diseases like this remain a horrifying reality.

For the world’s poor, Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) are a daily threat. The group of 20 diseases can be fatal and often leave people severely disfigured or with long-term disabilities that cause suffering and affect livelihoods. The worst part? Most NTDs are completely treatable – with some medicines costing as little as $0.20 cents.

Despite the low cost of cures for NTDs, they are constantly neglected by the international community. NTDs affect over a billion people, but because many live in the world’s poorest countries, they are not given the attention they deserve – we bet you’d never heard of NTDs before coming across this quiz.

We believe this shocking inequality has gone on long enough. In 2020, no one should suffer from diseases we know how to prevent. That’s why we’re on a mission to raise awareness for NTDs, and are calling on governments to take action.
