Learn More about this cause:

The Amazon rainforest is vital for our planet’s health. It locks away carbon, slows climate change, generates rain, and is home to millions of people, plants, and animals. But every year, more of it is lost.

Indigenous communities safeguard nearly one-third of the Amazon, protecting the most biodiverse areas and sustaining ecosystems for generations. Yet they receive less than 1% of the funding meant to protect the forest.

On Amazon Day — September 5 — we are calling on Germany, Norway, and France to increase their support for Indigenous-led solutions. Together, we can raise $200 million to protect 30 million hectares of rainforest, an area the size of Italy.
