Ghana is rich in fertile land, culture, and nutritious crops — from millet and moringa to cocoa and cocoyam. Yet, much of what is consumed is imported. The markets are filled with unhealthy foreign goods while farmers struggle to sell, process, and thrive.
This is not just a missed opportunity. It’s a threat to the economy, health and the country's food sovereignty.
That’s why the Ghana Food Movement has launched Buy Ghana, Build Ghana — a national call to action to shift mindsets, celebrate local ingredients, and drive demand for food grown and made in Ghana.
But they can’t do it alone.
The movement needs you — Ghanaians at home, in the diaspora, and global allies — to stand with them. Will you add your name to the pledge?
