The climate crisis is no longer a threat for the future and many African communities are unable to cope with the endless droughts, wildfires and floods.
These disasters have had devastating consequences: farmers don’t have inputs or seeds for their planting season, their harvests have decreased, food prices have skyrocketed and millions more people are facing catastrophic levels of hunger.
The good news is in 2014, African leaders developed a framework which recognised investments in agriculture to unlock economic growth, create jobs, protect our food systems and end hunger. The bad news in only one country, Rwanda, is on track to achieving the commitments in record time.
This is not acceptable!
