U.S. monuments, landmarks, public lands, and waters are under severe threat. Just this past October, the U.S. Department of the Interior, the agency in charge of protecting public lands, announced it plans to open up 10.3 million acres in the Arctic , which will likely lead to an increase in drilling and fossil fuel development in that fragile area.

As Global Citizens, we can’t allow leaders to add to climate change at a time when countries are expected to pursue zero emissions for the good of the environment, the economy, and the well-being of front-line communities who are most negatively impacted by climate change.

Call on the U.S. Department of the Interior to prioritize the environment and our communities over profits by signing this petition.
