Education is the great equalizer. It opens doors to jobs, health, and opportunity. But right now, millions of children are locked out of school — most of them girls. Poverty, conflict, and discrimination are keeping an entire generation from learning and thriving.
That’s why Global Citizen, together with FIFA, launched the Global Citizen Education Fund — a bold initiative to give every child the chance to learn, no matter their background. The fund will combine the power of football and education to ensure classrooms are open, teachers are supported, and young people can succeed.
This year, Global Citizen is working to raise $30 million by September, which will help 30,000 children access learning opportunities. And the bigger vision is clear: a $100 million investment to support education and football programs in more than 200 countries.
Norway has always been a global champion for education and equality. As one of the world’s most respected donors, Norway’s investment would not only unlock opportunities for thousands of children, but also inspire other countries to step up.
Together, we can ensure every child has the right to education, and the chance to build a brighter future.
