Messages for a Polio-Free World

Share your voice and tell UK leaders to end polio for good.

What to know:

  • Polio isn’t done yet, new cases show the fight isn’t over.
  • Only two countries still report wild polio, but strains can pop up in under-vaccinated places.
  • Share a message for the UK now: provide £50 million a year to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

Learn More about this cause:

Despite decades of progress, polio isn’t beaten, with wild cases still detected across Pakistan and Afghanistan, and traces found in UK sewers.

That’s why the GPEI needs strong funding to eradicate  polio once and for all. The UK has a legacy of leadership, but recent aid cuts  threaten to halt this progress.

Public pressure is powerful. We’re collecting messages of support from people like you to urge renewed funding for GPEI to help protect children across the world. Your words can inspire The Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, and Development Minister, Baroness Chapman,  to recommit the UK to the fight to end polio, ensuring no child ever suffers from polio again.

Leave a message. Let’s keep the pressure on and help the UK lead the world to a polio-free finish line.
